It feels oh so good to be reunited with my CSA vegetables.

Last week, I flew out on Tuesday for a work retreat to Whistler, Canada. Not only was the place drop dead unfairly gorgeous, but I also got to hang out in person with all my lovely coworkers. As a fully remote company with almost 50 employees, it’s really quite an experience to get together twice a year and find out each other’s hidden talents.

As usual, I awaited the Wednesday email from the farmer that tells me what’s going to be delivered in our share. The season’s first eggplant—and I was going to miss it. The injustice, I tell you.

Jason put most of the vegetables to good use (he took my fritter advice very seriously), but some did look sad at the  bottom of the vegetable crisper when I got home on Monday. But now that I’m back, and we have another delivery, I’ve got loads more plans for what to make for dinner this week.
