It’s that weird part of the season when we get both tomatoes and winter squash in our CSA.

Usually it catches me off guard, but this year I am pumped for all things soup and pot pie. September also means that pumpkin spice is going to start appearing everywhere, which is a game I refuse to participate in.

We spent the weekend with college friends in town, entertaining on our patio and biking to the Union, where we contained our children with colorful terrace chairs while we watched sorority girls initiate this year’s pledge class. Sometimes I forget I live in a college town, and other times I am spectacularly reminded by screaming 19 year old girls wearing tutus and glitter. This was the latter.

Farmer's Market & CSA Series {Week 13} | Things I Made Today

We ate far too much this weekend, so talking about food seems totally wrong. But I pulled together a menu for you anyways. Here’s what we’re thinking:

Red Cabbage

Tomatoes

Garlic

Delicata Squash

Red Bell Peppers

Red Norland Potatoes

Basil

Onions

Green Beans
