Ginger Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients
  • 2 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup ginger, grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Fill a large bowl with ice water and keep next to stove.
  2. Drop in green beans (in batches, if necessary) and cook until crisp, about 4-6 minutes. Transfer green beans into ice water. Repeat with remaining batches.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add garlic, ginger, and green beans and cook until garlic has softened and the general smell of your kitchen is delicious.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve immediately
