Sometimes in blogging, you realize you are in a funk.
The food coming out of your kitchen feels somewhat uninspired, and you just can’t get the words out of your head to write anything worthwhile. I am 100% in one of those moments. Sitting up here in our cabin in Wisconsin, I’ve been trying for about half and hour to come up with something exciting to say about a broccoli mac and cheese recipe. Yes, it has tons of gruyere and Parmesan cheese and yes, it was tasty, but honestly there are a million other recipes like it, so it just doesn’t feel special enough to take up more space on the Internet (because everything on the Internet is special).
Then there are the recipes that I’ve been testing and testing and just need to keep tweaking (hello strawberry swirl and candied ginger ice cream, we will get there eventually). I wish I could have gotten that recipe to you at peak strawberry season, but the time has passed, and I’m hoping you at least admire the pretty pictures and keep the recipe for next year. Until then, let’s just look through the archives on things I think you would enjoy eating today.
